Inaccurate oven temperatures mar a very nice unit
Did you know that these smaller ovens use about half the energy (on the average) of a full size stove oven? I love to bake, and I hate to give PGE (California utility electric company) any more of my money than I have to. This is my third small oven, so I do have some understanding of these ovens (all were different brands). First, this oven is large enough to cook a chicken on the rotisserie, but it must be a fairly small chicken (and you darn well better tie up the legs and wings). What I have found is these ovens do not last too long as the timing mechanisms start failing after a year or less. This one has a nice long timer (120 minutes), and it functions (since it is new) quite well. So you ask, why only 3 stars? Well, the most important thing to me in an oven is the temperature (for one thing, is it accurate). I bought a good oven thermometer (since I make bread from scratch and temperature is very important), and when I checked the temperature at supposedly 350 degrees...
